Rich Buckler's Deathlok

Charity auction piece for Deathlok creator Rich Buckler.
Want to help as well? Just click the link.  http://aardwolfpublishing.blogspot.com/

8.5" x 11"
Ink, pen, and wash on bristol board.

I couldn't resist the opportunity to place Deathlok in Eddie's classic The Trooper stance. Props to Derek Riggs for the original image and of course to Rich Buckler. Not only important to the comic book community but to the surrealist art community. Please support Mr. Buckler in his time of need at the previous link and here to visit some magnificent imagery. I hope I was able to help, with my illustration and post.

New Comic Wednesday: Date Night

New Comic Wednesday: Date Night
Welcome to my first monthly New Comic Wednesday posts. Once a month on a Wednesday I will post a short story here on the blog for free! Most stories will be 4-8 pages in length but I'm not ruling out longer stories if the story warrants. it. Most work will also be NEW COMICS, not before published.
Date Night will be published in the forthcoming b-one #10. Please check that out and most of my published works at King Bone Press. We offer both digital and print comics.
This was intended as a short gag strip, but I seem to have fallen in love with Xena so she may appear again in the future. Any feedback and sharing of the story is much appreciated.

Thank you. Please Enjoy

Society6 Prints, T-shirts, and more…by ME!

Hello all! Here’s a couple more designs for my Society6 page and here. If you aren’t familiar with Society6, they are a print and merchandise maker that does print on demand work. They can frame prints for you, do t-shirts, cell phone cases, throw pillows, greeting card prints (my favorite), coffee mugs, and more! Pretty cool, eh?

Not Dailies: 2016 Sketches April Week 2

Welcome back to Not Dailies my little almost daily drawing project. My intention is to do what I can during the week, between comic pages and art projects, and then post scans of them here the following week.

OOPS! I was crazy busy and caught the scurvy last week so I wasn't in the position to do any sketches. Apologies.

If you want to see them in real time I photograph them and post them on my twitter account @slurmo and instagram kingbonepress as they are completed.

This week's drawings are all done on sketch paper. You'll notice some bleed, saturation, and less smooth inkwash transitions. It's thirsty paper.

APRIL WEEK 2
(week ending 04/016/2016)
All illustrations are 4.5" x 6" ink, pen, and wash on bristol board or sketch paper.
  • 04/10/2016 (© Bobgar Ornelas)
  • 04/11/2016 "Doop Patrol" Robotman (Doop © Marvel Comics, Doom Patrol © DC Comics)
  • 04/12/2016 "Doop Patrol" Elastigirl (Doop © Marvel Comics, Doom Patrol © DC Comics)
  • 04/13/2016 "Doop Patrol" Negative Man (Doop © Marvel Comics, Doom Patrol © DC Comics)
  • 04/15/2016 "Doop Patrol" The Chief (Doop © Marvel Comics, Doom Patrol © DC Comics)
Thank you. See you next week.
